I just said it was overrated. I didn’t say it was without any redeeming qualities. (When the Yankees lose, the grass is greener, the Fenway Franks taste better, the $12 warm beers are cooler...)
I only dislike the Red Sox. Hate is reserved for the Yankees (and the other Sox.) I grew up half-way between Boston and New York, but I’ve always been a Twins fan.

Thbbbth! (I think that’s how to spell a Bronx cheer.)
I was born in Minnesota, although we moved to CT when I was very young. My dad is a Twins fan, so I had some family influence.
I believe the one with the personality disorder is my son, who, for no good reason, likes the Yankees. As you can imagine, he’s just about unbearable right now. (I made the mistake of taking him to Yankee stadium for his first game about 9 years ago. It was all downhill from there.)
