I know what you're talking about, sortof. Difficult for me to relate to any large extent being from a very conservative area of a pretty conservative state. Believe it or not, there are STILL places and people very much like what Rockwell portrayed within walking distance from where I live.

I suppose a big part of the problem today is that it's difficult for most folks to make a decent(depending upon your definition) living in the small towns, hamlets and villages in the country. I suspect also that corporate farming and ranching have done as much to contribute to the decline in rural areas as anything else. One man with several million dollars worth of equipment can match the output of what dozens of people used to produce.

Still in all, flyover country is alive and well.

However, the giant is stirring and may yet wake up in time to rekindle the fires of the Grand Experiment that WAS America. I pray it will happen.

I don't know how many others feel the way I do about the duty of Americans to gather at the breach to stop the onrushing tide of tyranny here at home. It's not just about us; not by a long shot. I think the rest of the people around the world who wish to remain free or become free look to Americans, begrudgingly in some cases, as the last guardian of that jewel. Not the country of America but We The People of America are the only ones capable of stopping the barbarians at the gates. That's quite a load when you think about it...
