He eats 20,000 calories of food a day - EIGHT TIMES the official adult male average of 2,500.
Paul scoffs three family-sized takeaways a night and wolfs down Sunday roasts like snacks.
He has spent much of the past eight years in bed

If he's been in bed, how's he getting all this food? Someone is bringing it to him, that's how. Why didn't they try to control his intake?

These kind of stories always make me ask, 'where do they get the money for all that food'? I make a pretty good salary and no way could I afford all the food that these super obese, HOUSEBOUND, folks eat. The food stamp allotment wouldn't be near enough to pay for all the food these people eat, so how do they do it?

I wonder that too, 20,000 calories worth of food is a HUGE amount. That is about 8 pounds of bacon. I even saw one show where a person had a rig where he fashioned a pully and bucket system out his high rise window where he would hoist down money and a list and his friend would bring him food and hoist it back up.

You could afford it if you really worked at it. Buying bulk staples and cooking yourself. Buying bulk meat and cutting it yourself. Growing your own veggies.

Course, you couldn’t do all that if you were unable to get out of bed.

If you did it all on fast food drive throughs, the bill would probably be between 50 and a hundred bucks per day.

I’m only 170lbs and I can eat 12 bucks worth of drive through food in one meal if I really want to. I’m a big eater for my size. But jeeze, i could never do that two days in a row. Not even two meals in a row.

He’s getting lots of help. That is for sure.

I always wonder that, if they said they were gorging on cheap chips (fries) and burgers and sausages etc but they always say take-aways (take-outs) I really have to justify to myself to buy one every couple of months as I can easily spend equivalent to half a week's shopping bill on it.

You find time (and money) for what you really want to do.
