Penn Jillette is an amazing person. I met him through The Amazing Randi (who was his mentor in magic) and through the various Skeptic conventions and such. Very very smart and not in anyway a conservative and not in anyway a liberal. His opinions are his own and he admits when he’s wrong or has been wrong.
You mean the Tommy Smothers who hasn’t done anything good in about 50 yrs?
My opinion of Penn just went up a couple notches while my opinion of Tommy couldn’t get any lower.
Me too. I really respect him. I don’t agree with him on everything but almost.

BS is an awe inspiring show. Not for the kiddies, due to rough language, or I’d say it should replace most High School curriculum.

Yes...I saw that video too. Chilling! I am encouraged by most of the Free Republic posts and how we are continuing to fight this horrible philosophy even if it is in such small ways.

We attended The Smothers bros this last year and they STILL are cryin about NBC canning their show all these decades later.
Hell it was almost 50 yrs ago.
There Dad was a career Military man as they showed a little family album skit of pics growing up in the show.
Alot of the material was from the old tv show and I remarked to my buddy that in world politics over time the same topics to solve are the same.
I saw them a few years back and they did the same shtick.
Let’s see, Tommy Smothers, Tommy Smothers.......didn’t he have a career in show business about 40 years ago?
