The end of October is just around the corner.
IF YOU HAVE NOT DONATED TO Free Republic for the 4th Quarter you need to do it. If you are lurking, reading or posting on FR you have a DUTY to support FR.
I have just donated another $100 over my dollar-a-day monthly and I CHALLENGE those of you who can to match my donation.
Of course, you should donate what you can afford, but the tally shows only 1,611 people have donated in support of FR and we all know there are "tens of thousands" of people who read us every day.

Some of us are living on ever dwindling disability as our spouses struggle from cancer. Some have other real issues.
I could quit lurking/posting/commenting but it wouldn’t save FR any money would it? And I know this season will end, one way or another, and I will be able almost certainly to help in the future.

I have been a long time lurker, post a a dozen times a week or so. I have never donated to FR. Not because of lack of money, I’m doing ok. Mostly because of lack of...fear.
Before, I was not scared enough for the sake of the country. Even though we were headed the wrong way, it still seemed like the brakes were engaged.
Times have changed.
Now it feels like the train is running downhill with no brakes. It’s time to put up or shut up. So I put up.
It’s time to become more actively involved.
I just donated for the first time and will be happy to help support this forum from here on out.
I too am very, very afraid...just look at the headlines on Yahoo or Reuters...
Peshawar Bombing, Iraq bombing, Dem Healthcare SECRET behind closed door negotiations, WHouse attacking a single news media outlet because they DARE to tell the truth, Govt Motors, Govt Banks...the list goes on!
