A friend gave my mother another cat today, a female bobtail. I don't know if she's Manx or some other type of short-tailed breed.
I don't know why animals die at all, but these things are in G-d's Hands, and we must trust Him.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
G-d bless you all for your kind thoughts. It’s another reason why Freepers are the best.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...
I am so very sorry... you gave this sweet baby a chance at his 9 lives & you all gained from the fun & love. It is so hard to say goodbye, no matter how old, sick, worn out they are. They are our kids & damn it hurts. My prayers go forth for you & yours as you heal. You will never forget, and nor should you.
I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty. We had the same to do for our Sapphire last December he was 14. They sure leave paw prints all over our hearts don’t they?
Prayers for you and your Family in this most difficult time.
Try to hold onto the fact that God loves his animals, and you will see your friend again.
I’m so sorry for your loss, prayers for your family and your little guy. You folks were angels who saved him more than once despite huge odds. What a gorgeous, special kitty!
I’m so sorry for you. It’s really hard to do the right thing some days, but you went above and beyond in your care for the kitty. You did your best. Kitty doesn’t hurt any more and eventually time will heal the hole in your heart. You will be in my thoughts.
Tears and prayers.
With deepest sympathy. Thank you.
Heartfelt condolences to you. I know you really loved your furbaby, and it’s so hard to say goodbye. You went over and above your responsibility to give your kitty a good life. Rest in that knowledge, and he knows you loved him.
I lost my sweetie cat on June 19 from renal failure, and I cried almost every day for 4 months. I recently got 2 new kittens, and it eases the pain significantly.
Your Schmeckle and my Allegra are playing at the Rainbow Bridge.
If I see him on the Rainbow Bridge, I will be sure to sign your guest book.

Condolences for your loss, it saddens me as well. I’ve been down that road many times, but on the good side, I’m sure Schmeckie is in good company with my cats and the other cats that all of us Freepers have lost. I had one cat, we kept her alive for 2 and a half years with kidney failure, up until the last two weeks of her life, she had a good life even with her problems. It really hurts to lose them, but we’ve taken in other kitties and I think that helps keep them alive is when we give our love to others as we did to them and still do.
I am so sorry for your loss..I know how it hurts..May you be comforted by the love and companionship shared.
With our deepest sympathy,
GtG & Jasper
#95 is for you, pabianice.
Scarlett will be waiting for you in heaven. The notion that animals don’t have souls is absurd. Scarlett, like our five dogs, two mules and a cat all channel God’s love. Of course there will be animals in heaven - God cannot run out of room since He is infinite!
