Well let’s see now. The fraud called newt proposed his ‘contract’ about 15 yrs or so ago. Don’t recall exaactly but I did have my own radio show back then and spoke of the many ways this bullsh!t produced by the GOP was utterly unrelated to the constitution. I ask you did any unconstitutional agencies get eliminated by the GOP? Why not say something like, “we as republicans support the constitution and recognize that it is the original contract made between the founders and the people and we will do everything within our power to restore it’s provisions? Oh well, keep voting for republicans. How has that worked for you lately? Newt’s latest? The scuzzie from New York? What will it take for people like you to add 2 + 2 and get 4?
Your beefs with the GOP are well-founded. But the problem is that you still didn’t answer my question. What about the Contract WITH America (don’t say “on”, you well know that was a media/Democrat talking point) was specifically unconstitutional ? As for eliminating agencies, that’s easier said than done. Even Reagan couldn’t eliminate the Dept. of Education. The GOP, let alone Conservatives, never had 2/3rds of Congress to ensure the elimination of a lot of these expansionist gov’t misadventures. Clinton wasn’t certainly going to sign off on it. Dubya didn’t either. But our priority now is getting people in there that WILL do what is necessary to shrink the gov’t, the pork, and the obscene spending. If they won’t, we keep replacing them until they finally do.
