She's the only one who has my attention at this point. Everyone else comes off as panderers and representative of everything still wrong with the GOP.
"Re Israel: Ive commented to others that this administrations policy WRT Iran seems to be Stick our heads in the sand and hope that Israel solves our problem for us. My opinion of this kind of cowardice is unprintable."
I just finished Gold's book. He lays out mountains of evidence against Iran, then suggests pretty much the same ideas that have failed for the last thirty years. It left an empty feeling in my gut.
I found his multiple use of the term "elites" (in ambassador-speak, meaning over-educated, pompous affluent people running a country) to be instructive, in referring to those in Iran who perhaps don't follow the Shiite "twelver" tradition. I assume he views himself an "elite" of Israel, as well as the rest in the Western world who fancy themselves our qualified leaders.
Their insular, multicultural, globalist worldview just cannot fathom the fundamentalism of Ahmadinejad and the clerical leadership of Iran.
I pondered today that we go about our lives hoping someone "in charge" knows what they are doing.
They don't know what they are doing.
"As far as my life goes...pretty much SSDD. Ive volunteered to work in my local hospitals emergency room - paperworks gone through, but I still need to be trained. Beyond that, dog and cats are fine, life goes on."
Slings, the thought that I might be hauled banged-up into an emergency room, to have you there to hold my hand, is very comforting.
"Haahaahaaa! AAAUUURGH!! It hurts when I laugh!"
Re Iran: You've nailed it. There seems to be a large portion of America's leadership who can't understand that we are dealing with an enemy who, by our standards, is bat**** insane.

Great! I get a kickback for every suture I pop.
