Aerosmith may be looking to replace frontman Steven Tyler, despite the band's 40th anniversary less than a year away.

Tyler's possible departure is reportedly linked to the singer's focus on his solo career. The 61-year-old singer suffered a fall off the stage during a show in Abu Dhabi, which reportedly put strain on the band that had to cancel the rest of the tour.

Aerosmith formed in 1970 and have released 14 albums. Among their most famous music includes 'Walk This Way,' 'Janie's Got a Gun,' and 'Dude

He’ll go cut a solo album and the band will re-unite.

They made it throught he “Toxic Twins” time, this will be easy. Especially with the money they can make from a “Reunion”

It won’t be Aerosmith without Tyler.

I care.
Aerosmith is a great band but it sure sounds like retirement or studio only work might be the best thing for their future.

Can’t any sixties and seventies rockers just call it quits? I wonder if, when any of these guys were in their twenties, they would have taken a 62 year old rocker seriously.

Another fall? He fell during Sturgis this year from the stage. I think they need to reconfigure the stage a little better and perhaps put a rail around the edge to keep him on it.

He’ll go cut a solo album and the band will re-unite.

And it'll probably be about as successful as was the "Joe Pery Project".

I've seen the Bad Boys from Boston a total of 5 times over the past 4 decades. They are great as a band but individually? I don't think so.

As with any post, the best way to demonstrate your lack of concern is: don't click, don't read, don't click again, don't type, don't click twice more.

Did you watch any football today?
Make small talk with family or friends?
Pick up a fiction book?

Well it wasn’t Aerosmith without Perry in the 80s, either.

Exactly

The “I want to explore my music thing”

All bands do it, and either come back together or fail individually

None of the above, actually. I loathe sports, have no family/friends close at hand (unless you count my bed-ridden, incoherent father) and haven't read any decent fiction since the last century.

Not sure what your point is, though.

Its all been planned out. The “Reunion” tour will be their last big tour.

The cartoon band Dethklok already thought of the fake breakup ploy.
