Two comments:
1) That was fun to read! You’re a great writer.
2) TCU is not the #1 team in the country. TCU is pretty good, which for TCU is pretty good. Texas is awesome. It WOULD be fun to see them play head to head, like they used to every year.

Also of some interest to the ACC and Clemson is the noon kickoff of North Carolina at Boston College. If we beat Virgina we go to the ACC Championship game as it's our last conference game. BC has two conference games left but the best they can do is tie us. Since we beat them in the regular season we win the head to head tie breaker. But if NC beats them then we'll have sole possession of our division. We don't need it to get to the championship but it would be nice to have. We'll find out during the 1st quarter if that happens.

Whether Tebow will win the Heisman or not, is really not important to me.
And as far as the rest of the SEC getting tired of Tebow, I think every bit of publicity the kid gets is good. He’s a true role model for younger fans (plus he has broken records...so you can’t call the publicity “hype”, it’s real.)

It's coming down to the home stretch of the regular season. The burning question on everyone's mind is who would qualify for the FWIW 16 team playoff? We won't know the answer to that question until after December 5th but we do know Ohio State retains the top spot in the FWIW top 25 with big victory over Iowa. Next are a string of undefeated teams. The cream is rising to the top!
1. Ohio State
2. TCU
3. Texas
4. Alabama
5. Florida
6. Georgia Tech
7. Cincinnati
8. Pittsburgh
9. Oregon
10. Iowa
11.Stanford
12. Boise State
13. Oklahoma State
14.Penn State
15.Nebraska
16.Nevada
17.LSU
18.Houston
19. Oklahoma
20. Arkansas

An interesting and very frustrating statistic about UConn. The team has lost all fives games in the last two minutes and by no more than two points. In other words they choke in the big games. Hopefully they can break that mindset against Notre Dame.

Does Tim Tebow win the Heisman this year? More importantly, should he win the Heisman?NO!!! and here's why, The Heisman Jinx. In UF's last two championships, they beat the Heisman Winner (Troy Smith and Sam Bradford). And consider that the year Tim Tebow won it, is the ONLY year he didn't win a championship at UF. So I am firmly in the "Colt McCoy for Heisman" Camp.

I'll echo the sentiments of some previous posters and say that this is one of your best threads yet. And a PBR reference is
always a plus! :) Thanks for all the time you put into your threads each week. You post (and Tweet) at crazy hours...I'm hoping you work nights!
This weekend I'll be pulling for Texas and Baylor (of course!), Alabama, and TCU. I've got two "little" boys from my church who play for the Frogs...the Brock Brothers. I swear they're the stinking Twin Towers; their dad is just as big. Gotta root for the church kiddies...even if Raider is still nursing wounds from last weekend (sorry about that!).
Good luck to your teams this weekend!
P.S. Speaking of third world African countries, I think there is something wrong with me that I never get tired of saying "Djibouti." It's not easy to work that word into conversation, but I make it happen, baby!

Tim Tebow goes 55 yards for a TD 14-0 Florida. Hopefully it will be a short day for Tim.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!
Scrimmage week it is. But that’s good. Gives the teams something to do that makes a statement.
I give UTC accolades for being here.
But in the meantime......

Ohio State vs. Michigan (High Noon) Michigan and Ohio have been states long before people were saying things like "ah, getting around without horses, that idea will never fly!" They've also been hating each other long before the two institutions started playing this little game called football. What you have to keep in mind here is that a person like me could throw out at least 10 cliches when it comes to this rivalry and it would probably do it some justice. Not entirely, but at least you won't look like a complete idiot. For all intents and purposes though, the Buckeyes don't really need this game to do anything else of importance, like winning a Big 10 title or go to the Rose Bowl. But what would be a bigger source of pride in the Buckeye State than to keep the Wolverines mired in the funk in which they currently reside?BUCKEYES WIN! They are turning the lights off all over Michigan.
