I don’t like Brokaw, but this is not his fault and we shouldn’t make it seem that way. The crash doesn’t appear to have been that severe, and the woman was thrown out of her car because she wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
Doors pop open even in fairly low-speed crashes, and the laws of physics mean that your body is still traveling even though the car has suddenly come to a stop. Bad news.

Wow. That's got to be horrific for everyone involved. I don't care for Brokaw either, but really...he can't be faulted for her not buckling up.
