Skip to comments. How to block the "Palin doesn't like Asians" smear

The latest smear against Palin is available at huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/06/palins-father-she-left-ha_n_381724.html and elsewhere: According to [her father], the presence of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders made her uncomfortable [when she went to school in HI]: "They were a minority type thing and it wasn't glamorous, so she came home."
1. Get a copy of the book and write down the full context of that quote; if it differs in meaning from the above, use that fact to show readers of the HuffPost that they're misleading those readers. The same goes of the other sources.
2. Call or email him and find out what he meant.
This is the state that brought us 'Kill Haole Day'.
My first thought was the minorities were Sarah and a friend(s)? And the lack of glamor refers to being in Hawaii. One thing to visit a nice resort and beach on vacation, quite the other I imagine to go to school, live in typical student housing - and probably not right on the beach!
As someone who was in Hawaii about the same time Sarah was, it was a whole different world. For one thing, I met a lot of Asians who had a certain disdain for "haoles." Obama grew up in a melieu that didn't just tolerate diversity, but cherished it and resented white people. Japanese were the "ichiban", next the Chinese...and they had a sentimental and condescending attitude toward the Polynesians.
Don't believe me? Ask someone from Hawaii at that time about being in high school on "kill haole" day.
That picture makes a certain part of my anatomy uncomfortable and would make Mrs. Vigilanteman even more uncomfortable if she caught me looking at it.

I love it when a plan comes together... :)
It’s all Bravo Sierra. The only reason the libs are grasping for straws is the total fear they have of Sarah. It paralyzes them. Ever since Huckabee was removed from the 2012 picture the attacks on Sarah have reached a fervid pitch.
Do you realize that Sarah has her Facebook page to refute any lies and smears spread against her?
Look how fast she killed the private jet story and divorce rumors.
Plus she has dozens of blogs and talk radio backing her up.
Don't waste your time worrying about what leftist flacks say about her
Exactly right, bravo sierra. It’s killing them watching the attention Sarah is getting, even from Democrats and from the media. They see the big crowds at her events, mostly female, a constituency the democrats think they own. Their lies haven’t worked and the turn-out is the evidence. When they get down to charges of racism, that’s the last trick in their bag.
As the Sarah’s Facebook friends increase, the book sales tally, and the media thaws even a little, liberals are beside themselves.
Its the HUFFINGTON COMPOST..nothing Sarah says or does will make them stop hating her. Its a liberal drag of a paper and a disgrace. She doesnt have to prove a damn thing to that rag of a paper
Agreed. Her family is her worst enemy.
I didn’t take her father to say what Huffington Post is saying he said (and SP certainly didn’t say it). That headline is slimy rumormongering at its worst.
Actually, the sentence that is attributed to him doesn’t make any sense at all. If it’s accurate, it’s pretty bad coming from a teacher.
The crap that happened to her in 2008 isn't going to happen again, and you can take that to the bank.
“by the time O finishes his 2nd term????
Asians are the kind of people to back Sarah Palin. They tend to be very hard working, believe in the American dream, strong families, and tend to be very conservative.
* * * * * *
Then why would she be uncomfortable to be among them?
Then why would she be uncomfortable to be among them?”
Who says she is?
As far Indians for example, tend to vote Republican.
