80s SciFi/Horror Movie Help Wanted!!
None ^ | today | me

Posted on 12/09/2009 9:01:05 AM PST by kimmie7

Okay, FReepers, I have been looking for this movie for years and would love to find it for "he who has everything". Only problem is, we've both forgotten the title. Me because it has been a while, me because...well...I'm me. lol

All I really remember is that this fella keeps dreaming that someone is trying to give him a message and keeps saying "This is not a dream." If I remember correctly, later in the movie it is revealed that the person appearing is him. It isn't a dream, he has traveled through time to give himself a warning.

One of my favs from that era is “The Keep”. Can’t go wrong with music by Tangerine Dream. :)

Futurama episode where Leela gets stung by a bee and dreams that Fry is trying to communicate with her from the grave.

Is it Village of the Damned? That happened several times - the people fall asleep and hear what sounds like a garbled radio message several times, and only at the end to you hear that it is being broadcast by the people themselves from the future.

No way... neither character communicates with the other in a dream, it’s all over the ham radio.

I saw, I got the movie wrong because that’s part of the John Carpenter collection I bought. You should get that for hubby, has 4 john carpenter movies in it, including “the Thing”, Village of the Damned, Prince of Darkness, and Vampires.

Doesn’t ring a bell with me. But I wonder if anyone remembers an 80’s sci/fi stinker about a young lady in Paris you was shacking up with a demon. The thing kind of looked like a human leg with tentacles. For the life of me I cant’ recall the title. Anyone?

How dare you! They Live is one of the most enjoyable sci-fi movies ever! The wrestling scene between rowdy Roddy Piper and his (eventual) buddy is just legendary!

That's either David Keith or Keith David, I always get them confused.

Arguably one of the best fight scenes ever filmed!

Heck, just watch SyFy on Saturday. Guaranteed to see at least four really awful flicks at no extra cost (not counting the wasted brain cells or the hours you’ll never get back, of course.)
