In the 90’s, I used to correspond with Ken Grimwood, who was a posting buddy from CompuServe. He sent me one of his books, I’m sure it was “Replay”, but I had no idea of what a great writer he was at the time. I went to look him up a while back to say “Hi”, and was very saddened to learn he had passed away. He was a really decent and funny man, and exceptionally talented.

REPLAY was one of those books I heard about for years and meant to read. Usually, in such cases, the reading ends up being a disappointment. In this case, I read the book in one or two sittings, and really enjoyed it, and it gave me a lot to think about.

In other RIP news, Dan O'Bannon, the writer of the original script for ALIEN died yesterday, at the age of 63.
