Do not most of us with yards have trees that grew over time? I don’t get it.

Ha...my sentiments, too, when I read this. I have a picture of my house in California with a teeny palm tree and I've recently seen it years late and it's huge. It's probably the focal point of my old street, too. I'm not sure I get the story angle, either.

There is not much good news in England. So a fir growing in a yard makes international news.

Geeez...there is nothing to get. It’s just a nice story of how a small tree grew into something grand. I think it was nice to share this with all of us. If we all have something similar...we are free to post it too are we not??? I thought it was a neat story with photos.
Merry Christmas.

Yep, I just had a couple of 50-odd-foot ones taken down because they were fixing to fall on my house.

Good thing too, we just had an incredible windstorm, followed by a Nor'easter.

Best 600 bucks that I've spent all year.

I should also add that people from all over the world didn't come to look at them. :-)

Although the neighborhood kids thought that the cherry picker the tree service used was pretty cool.
