Just had folks over...watching the New Years Eve countdown. Heard Carson Daly talking about great things happening including historic health care reform? Anyone else hear this? Turned channel after that...
Who the hell is carson deely?
One of the hollywood crowd. I probably should not be bothered (or surprised), but seriously...it’s New Year’s Eve. Should we really be subject to this? I’m not upset - life’s too good to get upset over this. Just a bit irritated.
Watching the “All American New Year” on Fox News Channel. They talked a lot about our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nothing about “historic healthcare.”
These liberals are such idiots. They want everything to be free - as long as they do not have to pay for it. I say put the libbies on “Government Health Care,” but leave the rest of us alone. They can have their own little coop or whatever they want to call it. No preexisting conditions, all experimental treatments are funded, every type of treatment - psychological, physical, emotional, whatever - will be covered. Let’s see how that works!
the Atlanta affiliate went to local news for the “Peach drop”. We wanted to see the Times Square drop. Lesson learned.

These Hollywood freaks wouldn’t last 10 seconds on Government Run Health Care, they want it for all of us but they won’t accept it for themselves. They should ask themselves how long Farrah Fawcett would have survived under Govt Run Health Care, she would have lasted 2 months, instead she traveled abroad and lived for 2 years
I watch MTV at times, and they have a hard time not shoving liberalism at the viewer. Some of the worst is when they sign up voters on the Real World (happened at least once). They also managed to highlight an antiwar soldier, who was then shipped off to Iraq (again).

I saw I barfed. Then I took another swig of JD and changed the channel back to the twilight zone marathon.
Well, it’s NBC plus Carson. Should have known to expect something on their part.
I’m watching Dick Clark’s show. Even though he’s barely a part of it anymore due to health.
Strong signs of recovery with the stock market up and possibly a historic health care bill in the wings. Yea I heard it. He ruined my countdown so I turned him off.
Yup, I heard it, too. Same reaction. We tuned in at 11:50. I made a few “bite me” comments and tuned out until 11:59. Watched the ball and left again by 12:01. Still kinda angry about it.
