People in Wootton Bassett, the town famous for honouring dead British soldiers returning from Afghanistan, reacted defiantly on Saturday to news that a controversial Islamic group is to march through its streets.
Islam4UK which calls itself a "platform" for extremist movement al-Muhajiroun plans to parade through the Wiltshire town in the coming weeks.
The group's website says the event is being held "not in memory of the occupying and merciless British military" but of the Muslims its says have been "murdered in the name of democracy and freedom".
The town that shows respect for fallen Servicemen should be renamed 'Royal Wootton Bassett'Leader Anjem Choudary said the protest, involving 500 people, would be peaceful one, with "symbolic coffins" being carried to honour Muslim victims of the conflict. He said he also planned to write to the parents of dead UK soldiers with his version of "the reality of what they died for".

The “Religion of Peace’’ certainly knows how to push the buttons of it’s hosts. Put’s it wretched cultural finger in the collective eye of it’s host country, throws in some gratuitous violence along the way and then sits back and call’s itself the victim as a somewhat embarrassed and knee-jerk Western media stumbles about saying’’ Well, it IS a ‘’religion of peace’’ and there’s just a few radicals and , well if we could just, ah, all get along or, um, ah.....’’ I know how you feel. There has to be a reckoning someday. This can’t go on forever.
Just a few days ago, I saw an impressive article about how large numbers of young Englishmen are now sporting masks with St. Georges’ crosses on them, to protest Islamic extremism.
I think it would be grand if they could muster thousands of such English people, to stand many deep by the side of the road, holding banners featuring the symbols of St. Georges’ crosses, St. Edmund crowns with arrows, the scales of St. Michael, and the three lions of king Richard the Lionheart.
Then, if the Muslims and their dhimmis set up a chant, the crowd can sing patriotic English songs, such as “Jerusalem” and “Rule Britannia”.
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?...
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves...
The English Defence League is doing just that but the support as yet is not wholehearted - but it will be it will be!
Are you a ‘brummy’?
Merry Christmas.
And a Great New Year to you and yours!
Always good to see your name on FR!
Was just talking to my 78 yr old dad, expressing my concern that Albion might be in such a state of Dhimmitude, they were doomed, doomed! He said, ‘Don’t count the British out.’
Made me feel better.
LOL. At 0% interest this time!
Are Pig Roasts commonplace in the UK ?
