She looks hammered! Still sings better than me, though!

that must be after Big Brother -- when they tried to remake her into a woman with a crack band. Big Brother was better, imho.
Anyway, did you "chick" on the ad before you left the site?

Phew! No matter what, she could make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. A sad, short life, but really, you can’t imagine somebody like that getting old.

My 21 yr old son is a music fan will call me over to hear the latest female singing sensation.
I say “That’s nice” and then I say, “Check this out” and play a clip of Janis.
He gets quiet real fast. No one alive comes close to Janis.
No one.

Ugly broad screams her guts out is more like it. I don’t consider that singing. Even I could do that.

Bill Bennett went on a date with her once (twice?).
He won’t discuss it though - but he has confirmed it.
I believe the first one was a blind date.

Still love the music JJ and Big Brother put out.
My favorite was their version of “Summertime”.

I even like the typo above the video:

I grew up with that.
I couldn’t then and I still cannot now see the point of it.
Sorry, Janis. I liked some of our stuff. But you were only a druggie.

My God...she looked 40 when she was 26.I've often wondered what the 60's (the greatest music decade ever) would have been like without all the stuff they were smokin',shootin',snortin' and poppin'.
It's pretty clear that she was neither clean nor sober during *this* performance. But it's still *great* stuff.

I really like some of her music and I think the band she sang with was very to notch.

I was there! She did a concert and then did a taping for German TV. Got a twofer. Lots of service men in the audience.
