Here is video of Jay Leno tonight where he joked about rumors that his show will be canceled due to poor ratings. Leno also got some jabs in at NBC, saying he felt his show was safe because NBC only cancels shows with high ratings.

He also mentioned Fox by saying that if it does get canceled, he hears "Fox is beautiful this time of year."

It was a funny bit. Really ticked at myself for believing the rumor to be true...the way it was presented earlier in the day was that Leno had made the announcement that his show was canceled. Goes to show, you can't believe everything you see and hear.

I like the guy. Yes, he makes a lot of jokes about George Bush, but he also takes shots at Obama. To borrow a Fox saying, he's fair and balanced.

Whether he stays with NBC or goes elsewhere, I wish Leno great success and good fortune.

"Fox is beautiful this time of year."

Leno probably has been in talks with the Fox broadcast network. He would immediately be back at Number 1 with a late night show on Fox.

>>>He’s Not Canceled During Monologue..moves to 11:30

If you think it through, this game is called “Screw Conan o’Brian”.

Conan has a play or pay contract to host THE TONIGHT SHOW, I think for over $40 million. If he doesn’t have the Tonight Show NBC is on the hook for big money. If they give Leno back the Tonight Show they breach the contract and Conan walks away with a ton of cash.

Giving Leno the 11:30 slot IS giving him back the Tonight Show but letting Conan keep the Tonight Show title at the less valuable later timeslot. Hence no breach of contract. If Conan doesn’t like it he is stuck without recourse other then just walking away with nothing.

They put more imagination into this trick then the rest of the entire NBC schedule combined.

Their “imagination” has probably destroyed the 10pm ET Mon-Fri time slot, local affiliate 11pm ET news and whatever crapola they air at 11:35 for them for some time no matter what they do now.
