Shawshank #1. Although there is something odd about the tunnel. It seems like it is on the wrong side of the cell.

There’s one missing from the list.
‘Sometimes They Come back’, I believe it was called.
Pretty cool movie. I believe Tim Matheson played the lead.

I only saw it once on TV about 15 - 20 years ago and never saw it again.

Also, wasn’t ‘Christine’ a Stephen King movie? And ‘Kujo’?
They were pretty good, too.

I would put The Dead Zone some place in the top 15.

Yes! I forgot about that one, as well as a few others I've seen mentioned as I peruse the posts. 'Shawshank Redemption' is one of the best movies ever made, IMO.

I've never been a Stephen King fan, but if he wrote Dead Zone and Shawshank, I'll change my opinion. The rest of the list is movies I would never see, or see again, in the case of the ones I have seen. I don't like violence in a movie unless it's relevant to a plot that can stand on its own. Kathy Bates was great in Misery, but who wants to see a movie about a psycho? Even Psycho was about how we bring on the evil that befalls us. But King's stories have a randomness to them which is depressing.

I am still waiting for one of the Premiums (HBO, Showtime) to pick up “The Gunslinger / Dark Tower”.

- - The man in black fled across the desert and the Gunslinger followed.

Best opening line EVER.

Stephen King movies almost all stink.

Most of the stories are childish, predictable, and few if any are very original.

I cannot understand why his movies are so popular.
