Video: Vikings throw late TD in blowout, Brooking goes after Favre
Yahoo News ^ | 1/18/10 | Chris Chase

Did the Minnesota Vikings run up the score on the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's NFC divisional playoff? Keith Brooking(notes) thinks so. A late Brett Favre(notes) touchdown pass infuriated the Dallas linebacker, who charged over to the Vikings' sideline to voice his displeasure. And in his postgame press conference he didn't back down.

The Vikings had held a comfortable 27-3 lead since the early part of the fourth quarter. Dallas looked completely deflated after going down 24 points and the team's subsequent play did nothing to dispel that notion. On the Cowboys' next two possessions the team went four-and-out, gaining a mere 14 yards on eight plays.

So what? The only thing that would have made it better would be if the Cowpies were shut out completely.

If the Cow babies could tackle, the outcome may have been different.

As a former Cowboy QB put it, "If 'ifs' and 'buts' were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas."

You don’t want your butt kicked, play better.

How true.

Romo running the fumble and interception play didn't help.

I did like his fall down plays.

Has Jerry had security escort Wade out yet?

There is no crying in Football, unless you are a Dallas Cowboy(?)or their fans. STFU

I am crying for Gaines Adams(Buccaneers and Bears)and his family today! He was too young but God knows much more than I!

Rest in Peace Gaines Adams!

Just because Brooking quit, the Vikes have no obligation to do the same.

The Cowboys kept calling timeout, so they were at least going through the motions of what happens in a competitive football game.

He should donate his game check to charity.

If Brooking didn't want Minnesota to score then maybe he and his 10 teammates on the field should have done something about it.

We need annual reruns of the last three minutes of the “Heidi” game to remind everyone why you need to keep scoring.

My Saints (fan for over 25 years) are going to kick the living shit out of the Vikes.
We are finally healthy for the first time since the beginning of the season.

LOL. The former QB is a genius.

Conservatives should only root for teams that play in stadiums built entirely with private money and used no eminent domain? Are there any?

I’m a Cowboy’s fan and think the claim of “running up the score” is stupid. The Vikings won - kicked ass actually - and if they can continue to score then keep doing it. This isn’t kindergarten where we want to teach sportsmanship and not hurt someone’s tiny little feelings. I get sick of hearing this same crap in college football - if the other team can’t stop you, then you keep scoring - congrats to the Vikings, better luck next year Cowboys!

Was this an issue when the Cowboys did it to the Eagles two weeks in a row? A combined 58-14 score, that could be considered running it up, but you didn’t see any Eagles running over to the Dallas sideline bitching.

That was just about the same comment I was going to make. I am glad I read through before I made it. You would have just thought I was a copy cat.

Your Saints may have the edge, but don't let book those tickets to Miami just yet! I am sure there are a bunch on Dallas fans that are calling their tickets agents this morning trying to get refunds.

I was at the game yesterday, and if (I acknowledge it is a big if) our guys play like they did yesterday we have a great chance. Although we are the same team that lost to the Bears a few weeks ago, you too are the same team that lost to the Cowboys in your own home!!!!!

Interesting.
I LOATH THE COWBOYS!

I really disliked listening to Buck and Aikman telling me throughout the game that the Vikings were lucky that that the offensive pro-bowler lineman was injured. Did I tell you that I LOATH THE COWBOYS!

I remember "75", I remember every loss we had against the boys.
Did I mention that; I LOATH THE COWBOYS!

I remember the day Moss burned them for 3 TD and almost 200 yards on three catches, it was a great thanksgiving day.

oH yea, did I mention that I
REALLY HATE THE COWBOYS!?

Was it not great to have Deuce there?

Actually, we are not the same team.
As I said before, we are healthy for the first time since the beginning of the season.
I, along with many of my Saints brethren, were actually looking forward to playing the annoying Cowgirls and forcing the media to “crawfish”-—congrats on beating us to it and good luck (but not really)...

So tell me again what you think about the Cowboys, I didn’t quite get the message the first time. ;)

Go NFC Norris Division!

Deuce was the heart and soul of the Saints for many years.
I pray that if my boys go out and win it all, he will get a ring since technically, he’s a member of the team.

Vikes vs Jets in the SuperBowl!!!!!!

The Rookie vrs the Vet. The team that dumpled Farve vrs his new team. That would be awesome!

However, the Saints are a very very very tough team playing on their home ground. We need to worry about NEXT week 1st before we start talking about who is going to the big show.
