Will Favre hang it up? Two NFC championship games lost on a Favre interception (Green Bay vs. New York, and today), not to mention getting the tar kicked out of him physically by the Saints. He’ll be sore tomorrow.

I hate the N.O. "Saints".

May the demon of Katrina be with the Colts in the NFL SUPER BOWL!

Too bad the officials decided the outcome of the game.

But then it is the Chocolate City.

You are right - it should never have gone to OT.

But that doesn’t make up for the bullstuff officiating.

The refs ought to be banned from officiating after that string of garbage calls.

Favre will be sore tomorrow because he was mugged in New Orleans.

No surprise there, I guess.

Pity.

I've been watching pro football for over 30 years and this is the first time that the 2 teams I've rooted for most have ended up in the Super Bowl. Now I don't know who to root for.

I'd like to see New Orleans win because it would be a shot in the arm (although a small one) for that city. On the other hand I'm a big Peyton Manning fan. I'll figure this out by game time.

As a Lions fan I have to look at the bright side. The last two NFC champs were two of the three remaining NFC teams that had never made the Super Bowl. So the Lions have to win it next season.

Was not pass interference in overtime, or a completed pass.

The officials won in OT. The bogus pass interference call on Leber and the bogus catch were both official gifts to make sure the number one seed won.

Blatant. Bad as it was, it wasn't just about ensuring the #1 seed. It's the story. They "deserve" it because of Katrina. It's always been about Katrina. Cue up the devastation and misery video with gratuitous Bush jabs and run it on an endless loop. The media will be intolerable for the next 2 weeks.

“there were 2 teams that wanted to win and when that happens, only 1 team can win.”- famous Denny Green quote

I was rooting for Purple Moses, but when you cough up the ball 7 times, even the best defense can’t win it for you.

Poor brett. Green Bay karma bit him in the ass.

Ted Thompson is totally vindicated for trading the redneck. Same result two years later.

Well maybe the Katrina stuff will be offset by the fact that both teams have Haitian-born players, Vilma and Garcon.

I think the replay ref will be very famous in Minnesota.

I agree..thats about 4 playoff games that idiot has thrown away. He never could stop from pulling the trigger.

I am glad he left GB. To get that close and then throw it away is..

One of the STUPIDEST time management folderoos in professional football as demonstrated by a catatonic Vikings offense in the last minute and change of regulation time.

I really don’t care who won but the Vikings head coach and offensive coordinator need to be looking for work at this moment.

Just plain stoopid!
