Wild turkeys abound around my abode and yes, when they are outside, we stay inside! They perch on the rails of SUVs like they own them. One day I thought they were going to eat my little kitty.

We have them all over the place here, but they’ve never bothered anyone. Down the street there is a mobile home that they perch on top off occasionally. My cat likes to chase them, and they chase her back.

One of our cats tries to catch them.

To get them to come closer to her, she even ‘pecks’ up spilled seed under the bird feeders.

At times we have over 50 around the house, but NONE of them, not even the most dominant old toms, has ever thought of attacking us, though they will come up within 3’ of us.

We have roosting trees on the ridge above the house that they return to every year. we have them spriong, summer, and fall; in winter, they move down to lower ground, into & around town.
