The Flea Theater presents the World Premiere of GIRLS IN TROUBLE by playwright provocateur Jonathan Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds, whose previous controversial play, Pulitzer Prize finalist Stonewall Jacksons House, took on issues of racial victimization, now turns his attention to womens rights and abortion. Performed by The Bats and directed by Jim Simpson, previews begin February 12th with opening night slated for February 28th.
For a while, I thought I was America’s greatest conservative playwright, mainly because I thought I was America’s only conservative playwright. Then David Mamet indicated he was at least somewhat conservative, so I dropped to second best. is this man Reynolds really a conservative? I may get taken down another notch.
On the other hand, if the discussion is anything besides the monolithic left wing theater party line, it's probably worth seeing.
Did you see Mamet's Race? (I didn't, wondering how it was).
Therefore, all art is evil.
Have you run out of books to burn?
this town also brought you David Mamet, the Statue of Liberty, Orianna Fallacci, Bishop Fulton Sheen,.... ogawd the list is endless.
It's past your bedtime wherever you are, I'm sure.
Therefore every piece of crap that appears off-off Broadway is to be treated with kid gloves and revered as the expression of the tortured human soul that it is.
Meanwhile, Cats remains one of the all time box office boffos.
And, I'm sorry to inform, that when a touring version of Urinetown did condescend to visit my little jerkwater corner of Terra Firma, I actually enjoyed it.
Nighty-night.
It's past your bedtime wherever you are, I'm sure.
Lighten up, Francis!
