Atmospheric Dry Spell Eases Global Warming
NPR ^ | jan 28 2010 | Richard Harris

Posted on 02/01/2010 6:46:32 PM PST by GSP.FAN

A new study helps explain why the planet didn't warm up dramatically over the course of the past decade, even though the gases that cause global warming increased dramatically.

Scientists have identified a surprising phenomenon 10 miles above our heads that explains part of this unexpected pause in warming.

I wish they would decide, are we cooling or warming?

I thought we did warm up dramatically... at least that is what NASA has been telling us.

And the Global Warming Religion spins another fabricated story to support their theory of lies.

Arrest Gore, 90% of the UN (maybe all) and Hillary for donating more American Taxpayer money to fund this religious BS.

2009 was one of the warmest years ever recorded?

This is the first time I have heard that claim.

Oh, look. Imagine that. Another excuse for the failure of the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis and the Garbage-In/Garbage-Out computer climate models... yet another factor that the "consensus" failed to take into account.

Remember when we couldn't afford to wait to see if the computer climate models were correct? We were told by LYING MORONS like Algore that we needed legislative action (tax and control) NOW because a tipping point was imminent from which there would be no return from the spiraling heat !

Yeah. The cloud of U.N. B.S. that has been hovering over us for the past several years has finally dissipated.

They could make the article much shorter: “We lied.”

This article proves that today's scientist will lie and do anything to keep those government grants coming their way.

AGWT is sounding more and more like phrenology everyday. This theory has more patches than Jed Clampet’s spare tire.

NPR has a new explanation.

Water vapour could be behind warming slowdown - Mysterious changes in the stratosphere may have offset greenhouse effect.

I can understand NPR's hesitancy in discussing changes in its theological dogma.

January 28, 2010 is the same date as the Nature News story. That’s my mistake. I should have checked the date.

Oh Please there is no “pause” in anything. It is the natural planet cycles we are going through. It is BS to think otherwise. In the days of the dinosaurs it was much warmer on earth than it is now. Otherwise how inthe world would they be finding their skeletons so far north where it is cold now?

2009 was one of the warmest years ever recorded?

One of 10 or so warmest recorded (accurately) since the 1970's when satellites started taking measurements. Also part of the warmest decade since the end of the Little Ice Age which makes sense. OTOH, there were some pretty warm years worldwide in the 30's. Also the hockey stick makers will lie about warmth prior to the LIA.

You know, even if this woman’s research was 100% correct, who would believe her (or NOA) any longer? Who would believe the “peer review” process any longer?

The boy has cried wolf WAY too often.
Climate scientists blew it. You let politics interfere with science.

I almost feel sorry for the legitimate scientists in all disciplines who now have to contend with the lack of credibility of ALL scientists.

Almost sorry, but not quite. You should have policed your own.
