He'll never be in the same breath as Bradshaw, Montana etc... MVP's are not Championships..And Manning has a huge legacy of coming up small in BIG spots...

Peyton’s not a class act. He’s a straight out douche.

One of the first thing he did last night, was throw his teammates under the bus for the onside kick failure....

Watch him take a sack...He doesn’t get back up and go about his business he whines like it’s a personal affront.

And he ALWAYS looks like he rues the fact that his teammates aren’t as talented as he is.

BTW I am not disagreeing about the Katrina issue. Any conservative knows what thorn the entire issue has been since it happened. And the fact that they’ve since infested the N.O. syndrome elsewhere is horrid too. But that’s a failure of the national media to be willing to highlight that particular issue because of it’s root causes, and generally is distinctly separate from Football.

Had that game gone the other way, Sports media would have been insufferable not just today, through next season.

Oh please, payton didn’t give up after the onside kick - you are repeating the same crap spouted last night using the exact same terminology - “throwing them under the bus” - that is just laughable. Are you really suggesting he didn’t win on purpose to slap at them? Sheesh, and he’s not a douche like other NFL QB’s - how many illegitimate kids does he have running around?

No, he’s saying after they lost, Manning tried to deflect the blame onto his teammates. Instead of accepting the blame cause that’s what a leader does. Fair or not, the QB has to be the guy who says “it was me, I blew it.”

Don’t be so harsh. Remember, you, too, will be judged as you judge others.

I didn’t judge Murtha - that isn’t my job - I voiced an opinion based on his actions, big difference.

I didn't write this...

Manning reacted stoically Sunday night after wide receiver Reggie Wayne dropped his team’s last gasp — a fourth-down pass in the end zone late in the fourth quarter. With hands on hips and his helmet still on, Manning returned to the sideline and stared at a video-board replay. He then headed toward the locker room before the final seconds expired in New Orleans’ 31-17 win.
Was it poor sportsmanship for not shaking hands with Saints players? Sure. But after what had just transpired in Super Bowl XLIV, I wouldn’t want to look back either.
At his postgame news conference, Manning used the word “disappointing” 18 times in an 11-minute span. He sounded like someone who felt Indianapolis lost this game more than New Orleans won it. He lamented the Colts’ dropped throws, poor special teams and struggles by a defense that couldn’t stop Saints quarterback Drew Brees. When asked what New Orleans did to disrupt Indianapolis’ offensive rhythm, Manning said, “I think I’d have a hard time saying that … We stopped ourselves for the most part.”

Odd...I would have thought he lamented that Pick 6.

I just walked in the door and heard that Senator Murtha died of complications of gall bladder surgery-may God grant his soul rest. If that can happen, I’d certainly think twice before having that surgery.

Murtha wasn’t evil, and rejoicing at another’s death and speculating about their soul’s repose is unbecoming.

no school through WEDS here. xsfrosh and i went out just to have a change of scenery, went to the grocery store and brought quiznos back for xsboy. it feels positively HOT outside, i went in a sweater without a coat and was perfectly comfortable. so my dogs hear some beagle next door baying and they set off. chanel who weighs HALF of what loosh does manages to go around to the side yard which has 32 inches EASY of pristine snow. Loosh somehow got there and could not get back. Chanel wasn’t sinking down into it [bc it’s soft now that the sun is beating on it]she could walk along on top of it, but he was stuck. xsfrosh had to go in her boots to get him and snow was literally thigh high on her and she’s basically my height! i talked to a neighbor down the street who said we def got 32 inches here, bc he had measured it in two diff spots. i am thinking the guy might be a conservative [never before spoken to him he’s pretty far down the cross street]. he said the plow had covered over his driveway entrance back in December and that next time he’d be standing there with a SHOTGUN when the plow went by to make sure that didn’t happen again! LOL! sure doesn’t sound like a liberal!

Not with a shotgun he doesn’t!

That is some REAL snow-I haven’t seen that much since the last time my ex and I visited relatives of his in North Dakota many years ago. I’ll bet your dogs were a sight to see-did you get pictures of Loosh snowbound?

no, i didn’t bc i was too worried he would hurt himself back there. we don’t have windows on that side of the house and i couldn’t see where he was. i wasn’t about to start around there myself bc i am not dressed for it. xsfrosh had her kneehigh rubber boots on from when we were out a little bit ago, but she had no gloves or anything and was half frozen herself when she got him back around to the front! miss skinny minnie chan was skittering around on top of the hardpack last night so i guess she thought she’d go back there and see what was up with the beagle! old lardbutt loosh isn’t so light on his paws!

I always feel terrible for the family of someone who has surgery or other treatment to get something fixed and winds up dying of complications instead-it happened to poor Mr.T5, so unless the deceased was Satan or the Anti-Christ, I feel badly for their family.

Just went over to the DUmmie thread to see their response to Handgate.

And one DUmmie (cleaned up for profanity) had what might just be a brilliant insight. Brilliant like a kindergardener doing long division...

“wailin’ palin....
....screeching her way to the White House....full speed ahead!

....hey puke party bosses, you’ve an insurgency on your sticky little corporate hands....what are you going to do when she steps out of line and takes that nomination away from your hand-chosen, wall street, limp-d*** candidate?

....remember, she’s now the tea-baggin’ mama from the GOP.... “

What will they do indeed :)
