Don’t you have an old coal shovel in the basement? I think 3 or 4 shovels came with my house.
our house was built 10 years ago, there’s no coal anything here. but, there is good news. i just talked to a friend in Falls Church, she has 3 shovels there and xshub is stopping by her house on the way home to borrow one. no sign of the #%$^ing UPS man today.
Any snow in Youngstown? I’m going to be there next week.

She endeared herself to the logging conference crowd by holding her hand up to show what was written on the palm of her hand: “Loggers rock!” - an apparent dig at “lame-stream media” who recently ridiculed her for writing memory prompts on her hand.
If I won the spelling bee several times in a row, i would an iterative winner. ( well actually I only won once with the word arbiter)

We’ve got snow/sleet predicted for Wednesday and Thursday, but it isn’t “supposed” to get cold enough for the snow/sleet to stick.
I only use wood and charcoal on the grill-I’ve never liked the aftertaste a gas grill leaves.
God only knows what nemesis will do next-the first time we got together, he was my English Lit prof-newly hired part-time at a Catholic University, and involvement with students was an absolute no-no. Didn’t phase nemesis-he took me out on dinner dates at a dark, romantic Italian restaurant just blocks off campus. The only way I can excuse that behavior is that I was barely 21 and he 25-and dumb. When we hooked up again 20 years later, no such excuses apply.
I listed the numbers he left on my answering machine on my cell phone under the name “Nemesis”, and I’m gleefully waiting for the cell to ring and the screen to say “Nemesis calling”. Revenge is a dish best served cold...
