Joe Paterno doesn't need glasses anymore. What will he get rid of next? The rolled-up pants?

The Penn State football coach underwent eye surgery last month and said he no longer needs to wear his iconic, thick-lensed glasses. But Paterno, 83, told the Web site fightonstate.com Thursday that he had auxiliary pair made because he feels awkward without them

My Dad got rid of his “coke bottles” at 75 years old.. It took a while to get used to seeing him without glasses...

Modern medicine is amazing. My mom was legally blind without glasses from her teens until she was 70. Then she had cataract surgery and was able to pass the drivers license eye test without glasses.
