I watched my childhood pet, an adorable dachshund/beagle mix , die that death. I don’t believe it was intentional, more likely he drank from a water puddle near where someone had done car maintenance, but that didn’t make his pain or mine any lesser. :-( He was a sweet dog, but he was too smart for his own good : We kept him in a fenced backyard, but nothing we did-concrete blocks around the bottom, “unclimbable” fences (ha!), and bending the top foot or so of the fence inward kept him trapped inside the yard for long.

(It's MARTIAL law. Not marshal(l) or marital-MARTIAL! This has been a spelling PSA.)

Except for kids— and others— who read these “great ideas” and get their jollies from trying it out.
You are assuming that everyone reading about these “solutions” are as morally upright as you believe yourself to be.
Problem unsolved.

Perhaps you should have him explain to you the difference between country living, raising livestock getting rid of vermin to protect your animals. I do hope you realize meat doesn't just appear in little Styrofoam wrappers in some magic grocery store...or perhaps if your a vegan and kill plant life to live. It could be you just live by breathing. I have heard some nut cases believe that.. Life is full of dichotomy's. People want to outlaw the death penalty, but kill babies in the womb. Want to shut down egg factory's but still have all foods that contain eggs. Raising beef is horrible, but lets go out to the steak house tonight...I am sure if I knew you well enough (which I don't want to do) Your life is also full of dichotomy's..
Captain Obvious is my next door neighbor, we get along fine, He has whispered some things about you in my ear, but I don't believe them....:O)

Captain Obvious is my next door neighbor, we get along fine,
Then I'll let him know to be especially vigilant when he's out with his pets.

I don’t know if you meant it that way or not, but I think it was a cute post to me...I will tell Capt. Obvious of your concern for his pets..:O)
