We have some serious electoral flaws that need to be fixed.

In some states where Calero wasn’t allowed on the ballot he had a “stand in” that was apparently legal. I don’t understand how that works but it was apparently allowed.

Calero may be a socialist, a former illegal alien, a drug dealer and Lord knows what else but he was right about the standards not being evenly applied.

American exceptionalism resides on the promise of those sworn to uphold the constitution and law to keep the most rich and powerful within the boundries of the law regardless of position or politics. Yes, we enforce the law with the most powerful!

Why should joe schmoe obey the law (pay his taxes, be honest about his history on job applications, etc.) if the leaders of this country don’t - and no one cares? Why should cops be honest in enforcing the law if the President can get away with openly breaking the law and corrupting the judcial system with perjury?

Why should a jury convict a schlub down the street for not paying his taxes when the Treasury Secretary and Congressman Rangle don’t have to pay their taxes? This is how unchecked corruption at the top works like termites through the whole society. Forcing the most powerful to work within the limits of the law is absolutely the most important law enforcement priority in a free society.

You honestly think that the definition at that time can't (and hasn't) been definitively proven? You are grasping at straws.

You smarmed: "We have a mammoth job to do. Is this where we want to start?"

Enforcing the Constitution and requiring the office of President be held only by someone meeting the Constitutionally defined qualifications is the most fundamental place to start. But you and a small platoon of astroturfers working FR daily seek to mischaracterize, misdirect, and obfuscate the truth in any way you can. You are despicable people who do not deserve to continue as free citizens of the nation you are defrauding.

I get the motivation, but so far the approach has been ineffectual at best.

Instead of calling out “Kenya” and demanding a birth certificate for BHO, I'd rather see a demand that ALL current Senators, Representitives, Presidents, and Vice Presidents (federally elected officials) publish their higher educational records including scholarship applications, military records, birth records, and so on.

We could include appointed judges and cabinet members, too.

“Holder or Axelgreasy send you out to plant mischief, n00b?”

No. Did you have a specific complaint?

Not a bad idea in the overall strategy.

However, there's no definitive proof, anywhere, that de Vattel's views on citizenship (two parents, both citizens) was the common understanding of the phrase.

How high do you have that bar raised? I would call this pretty definitive:

Benjamin Franklin’s (a signer of our Constitution) letter to Charles W.F. Dumas, December 1775
“I am much obliged by the kind present you have made us of your edition of Vattel. It came to us in good season, when the circumstances of a rising state make it necessary frequently to consult the Law of Nations. Accordingly, that copy which I kept (after depositing one in our own public library here, and send the other to the College of Massachusetts Bay, as you directed) has been continually in the hands of the members of our congress, now sitting, who are much pleased with your notes and preface, and have entertained a high and just esteem for their author”?

However, if it is proven that there was a conspiracy / cover-up by top Democratic officials to allow an unqualified candidate to become president. It would cripple the Democratic party for years.

Minor correction. They don't care if he is a non-citizen.

Please link me to the DOJ talking point that says real, pressing issues with our present government, issues that are of vital concern to conservatives, take precedence over ethereal arguments about the meaning of NBC.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Well...Gee!...If it is soooooooo etheral and soooooo unimportant for you why do I see your tag name so frequently on these threads?

Why are **YOU** wasting **YOUR** time? Don't you have more important things to be doing?

See post #56 above, n00b. You’ve presumed to be ‘one of us freepers’ with your smarmy posts, yet you have tried to arrange a thread in such a way that you and a small platoon of poltroons can marginalize those demanding the office of President be held only by someone meeting the Constitutionally defined qualifications. You’re just another operative sent to work the Internet discussion sites for your deceitful masters. Despicable

You joined in January of this year to lecture us on this?

Congratulations on your inflated self-image.

How about a new law to require that anyone running for an elected federal post must disclose all documents related to education, military, and birth.

Yes, that is needed. That would be in keeping with existing standards for applicants to non-elected government positions. The question is how do you get to the point where there is impetus to create such legislation? It hasn't happened yet, so unless there is some sort of mass outcry, or a crisis (in this case, a Constitutional crisis), such a law would probably never be written.

“... you and a small platoon of astroturfers working FR daily seek to mischaracterize, misdirect, and obfuscate the truth in any way you can. You are despicable people who do not deserve to continue as free citizens .... “

Not all those asking for documentation sound crazy, but the media will perpetually find the most embarrassing examples to make Tea parties and Conservatives look irrational.

The media is efficient at creating wedges to drive the casual independent voter away from us. As Beck & Coulter deride “birthers” I can recognize the FACT that “we” have problems to sort out. This is a forum, and if you think my asking about whether this topic helps us or hurts us is some kind of traitorism... do you also question the sincerity of Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck?

Your anger at me is beyond my understanding.

poltroons! What a great word.

These DOJ operatives are like the coward in the fox hole of freedom. They stab their buddy in the back and surrender to tyranny.

They fail to understand or heed the warnings of Yuri Bezmenov. The very first people lined up an shot were the Useful Idiots.

These Useful Idiots working the DOJ assigned message boards will be the first people crushed by the bus they will be thrown under when they are seen to be a threat and no longer useful to their handlers.
