A masked man, a citizens group, a judge and other motorists are behind the fight against photo enforcement.

Arizonans drive long distances on their highways, and they like to do it fast.

But since the Grand Canyon State began enforcing speed limits with roadside cameras, motorists are raging against the machines: They have blocked out the lenses with Post-it notes or Silly String. During the Christmas holidays, they covered the cameras with boxes, complete with wrapping paper....

I live in a thickly settles area . It is like a f’n race track . The cops are to lazy to enforce the 35 limit. I pray we get cameras , to slow these pukes down . For those that are too stupid i hope they are fined at a level that makes them feel it . Slow down morons .

You don't need cameras... cops work fine for giving out tickets...

And there are good alternatives for slowing people down in a residential neighborhood. I've seen those little traffic circles put in ever couple of blocks that makes it impossible to speed through (you would run off into someone's yard if you tried... LOL...). And then there are speed bumps and when you're driving at a decent speed, they are no problem.

But, if people are doing that in the residential neighborhood you're in, that often, a cop should be able to pick up quite a few speeders in short order and boost his ticket count in no time flat... :-)
