Democrat Senators are now preparing us for the Nuclear Option by repeating again and again "The majority deserves the right to vote on this, elections have consequences. Majority rules." This is Tyranny by the majority.
I hope they remember this when they are tossed out of office.

McCain just made the point that a reconciliation vote has never been used to affect 1/6th of the economy.
Obama responds that the American people really don’t care about procedures in the Senate - they just want a majority vote.

The system isn't working. We The People need to stop and rethink.
Think about the 2% of the population that is homosexual. They have tremendous power and influence -- because they are vocal, public, and willing to demand they they be listened to. We represent a lot more than 2% of the population.
We need to use tactics that cannot be ignored. That's what they do, and it works.

These damn repubs should have called the President on this from the outset.
They should have said that if this meeting is only to set an agenda of pushing this through, we are walking out unless we get a commitment to follow the rules of the Senate.

Actually, this was discussed early in the meeting, I was listening, not watching, so I don't know who brought it up.
I hope, if this abomination gets passed, we can get our Majority party of conservatives to pass a law dropping anyone who leaves office - let them pay for it themselves.
