It is time again to start making plans to attend the Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. Come join us to celebrate the memory this fine Texas gentlemen.
The 5th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot will be held June 12, 2010, starting at 10:00 a.m. Our range choice this year is Dietz Gun Range, 421 Range Road, New Braunfels. The cost per person will be $10.00 The Dietz Range is where TexasCowboy hosted one of his shoots in 2003.
This year the after party for the shoot will be held at the range. They have a large canopy with picnic benches underneath for us to hang out. The range does not have any items to cook food with, so we are asking that those who are able, to bring along a cooker. Everyone else please bring a side dish or appetizer. Adult beverages are allowed under the canopy (this does not need to be said but I am going to say in anyway they are not to be opened until all weapons have been cased).
cpdiii has agreed to be our host this year. He will bring, and cook, steaks and shrimp Creole for everyone. I am really looking forward to eating the Creole!
At this time no plans have been made for the Friday evening dinner or Saturday morning breakfast get together. Allegra & I have volunteered to make the sacrifice of a road trip to check out places to eat. One line of thought for dinner is to eat at a German restaurant.
Stay tuned for more info . . .
Pretty well, for the most part. They even play with her sometimes. They play with her stuff alot. She's not so keen on that part.
Miss E pulled her Daddies laptop off the desk, where it should not have been when not in use, and broke it all to hell.
I took Miss V back to Austin last Sunday, after a saturday night with G&G in Killeen. I made sure she saw all the cows and horses and goats, there are a lot of goats, along the way.
When her mother asked what she saw, she said horses, cows, and... "What's this" and made the sign for "Goat", she knew what she had seen, but she just couldn't remember the aural version of the term. She signs "NO" to the twins, a lot, and they understand it too.
Miss E is consistently running up and yelling "grandpa" when I come in the door for months now. Miss K will say it, but not so often.
But Miss K is the snuggle bunny. Especially when Grandam is available, but in a pinch she'll snuggle with Grandpa too. She's beefing up a little though, in just the two weeks preceeding last weekend, the difference in her "solidness" was quite noticeable. I think she has been getting more exercise. dancing mostly, but also tumbling and flipping. :) This is a Good Thing, she had been about as substantial feeling as a bunch of tissue paper.
It really is.
After we stuffed ourselves with a very yummy breakfast, we walked around the place for about 45 minutes just looking at all the cool stuff.
Sounds like I will need stretch pants.
I can do that
LOL - I wont be able to make it this time (heading back on that long commute to work in a couple of weeks), but if I were going to the shoot, you can be sure there'd be some trash pictures.
We have the Eaker daughter taking trash pictures in NYC now. She picked up the concept very quickly. :-D
OMG I think I managed to delete my Facebook invite! I think I can actually make this one.
Sorry to hear about the shoulders going south. I had a shoulder issues a few years back, lucky for now that I was able to dodge that surgeon’s gig.
Growing old is for wimps
Good luck on work, hope to see y’all there

Thank you ladies for the route recon:-)
Sorry to hear that you will not be able to be at the TCMS MkV Allegra. Good luck on your journey and the job thing:-)
Assuming Mrs alfa6’s knee job goes well I will see you for the breakfast gig, that looks yummy. Maybe I will have to wear them bibs that are wee bit large on me, snicker.
I should have a good idea by the first of June of how the knee is working out.
Thanks again y’all

That be it!
It feels like I gained 5 lbs on this short road trip!
Saturday we ate breakfast around 10:00, and we did not want to eat again until around 7:00.
Awesome!
BTW - Allegra & I brought home some gingerbread dudes for you. We are having a get together at gunners next Saturday, they will be there waiting for you to pick them up.
I am soooooo looking forward to that shrimp creole!
Damn sorry to hear that ~ both about the work & the shoulder. I do hope both problems clear up real soon.
Hope the surgery & recovery for the Mrs. goes off without a hitch.
I could not decide what I wanted from breakfast, so I had to do the eeny-meenie-miney-mo method to choose.
BTTT
Thanks for the report.
BOLO alert...
Consider them armed and safe...
We enjoyed it!
I hope all goes well with Mrs. alfa6's knee work.
