It is time again to start making plans to attend the Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. Come join us to celebrate the memory this fine Texas gentlemen.
The 5th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot will be held June 12, 2010, starting at 10:00 a.m. Our range choice this year is Dietz Gun Range, 421 Range Road, New Braunfels. The cost per person will be $10.00 The Dietz Range is where TexasCowboy hosted one of his shoots in 2003.
This year the after party for the shoot will be held at the range. They have a large canopy with picnic benches underneath for us to hang out. The range does not have any items to cook food with, so we are asking that those who are able, to bring along a cooker. Everyone else please bring a side dish or appetizer. Adult beverages are allowed under the canopy (this does not need to be said but I am going to say in anyway – they are not to be opened until all weapons have been cased).
cpdiii has agreed to be our host this year. He will bring, and cook, steaks and shrimp Creole for everyone. I am really looking forward to eating the Creole!
At this time no plans have been made for the Friday evening dinner or Saturday morning breakfast get together. Allegra & I have volunteered to make the sacrifice of a road trip to check out places to eat. One line of thought for dinner is to eat at a German restaurant.

My husband and I went to New Braunfels for our honeymoon, TheMom. Wonderful small town. I am so glad you went and enjoyed yourself. Thanks for the post.

You gals are going to love the place we picked for breakfast. It will be difficult to leave, there is so much to see.

You don’t HAVE to spend money in there (except for the breakfast). Allegra & I spent about 45 minutes just wondering around.

Both restaurants had amazing food and we stuffed ourselves. After breakfast on Thursday morning we did not eat for another 8 hours, and then it was very little.
Sounds wonderful! Is there a good shopping area in New Braunfels,
just in case some of us want to check it out? I’ve only
been there one time, and that was just to eat as we were
passing through on our way home from Houston.
TheGirl is trying to convince her boyfriend they should come to the shoot this year (they live in NY). I sent her a link to this and all previous shoot threads to show him the fun we have at the shoots.
Let’s give her some help convincing him to make the trip ~ I have promised that just because he is a yankee we will not shoot him. ;-)
