but to this day I do not get how a Hilley supporter and a Palin supporter would have any thing in common to support both other then their both women

I was pretty surprised also. They wax ecstatic over the prospects of Sarah being President. They loathe Obama and call his supporters 'leftist loonies' and such. I would not disdain their support.

And I think it's much more than just a 'woman' thing. They sense that Sarah is capable, smart, appealing and has common sense. We can thank President 0bamanation and his fawning media minions for this mainstream alienation. Remember, for realists there are only two choices -- R or D. Since they hate Obama for trashing their heroine, it's Schadenfreude time for these Dems. Reagan had the 'hard hat' Dem vote. Sarah will have the 'women scorned' vote (hopefully)!

Let's take your arguments one at a time:
A) She supports John McCain: Of course she does. He tapped her for the Vice Presidency. She owes him and loyalty is a virtue that shows well on a person. As much as I dislike John McCain as a senator, Ms. Palin was duty bound to support Mr. McCain in his reelection campaign. She also has expressed great personal fondness for Mr. McCain who has stood by her and supported her while many in his campaign have not. He has never bad mouthed her and the fact is that if she was to stab him in the back by refusing to come to his aid in his time of need, she would rightly be castigated by everyone in the media and politics.

B) She succeeded at making a hostile LA audience laugh and appreciate her. She showed excellent Charisma and was much more human and approachable than O’Bummer in any of his numerous appearances on the Tonight Show. She also was able to make jokes without offending the Special Olympics or any one else besides the media and congress two entities that nobody likes anyway. Go and watch the episode of the Tonight Show on YouTube. Irt was impressive and helped her cause immensely.

C) Reality TV is what you BELIEVE her to be pitching. It is much more likely that she will be hosting a Planit Earth style documentary show about the Great State of Alaska. That would not only be an interesting show, it would give her credibility with the American people. Remember that the average American BE:LIEVES what they see on TV. Why do you think they believe that O’Bummer was a credible candidate. THE TV GUYS SAID SO! Habvingf her in a position that shows her as an intelligent and knowledgeable TV host will increase her positives in a massive way.

This is an incredibly savvy move. She has once again stepped over the MSM to speak directly to the American public. She will have final cut and look incredible in the show.

If I was running a network I would do whatever it took to buy this property. She has sold almost 3,000,000 copies of her book and has incredible numbers on every show she is on. Her proponents will tune in to see her succeed and her detractors will watch even closer because they will try to pick out any mis steps. She will succeeded beyond imagination.

She will then have a springboard to go to the next level in politics, whichever level she may choose.

As for those non-Olberman negative Conservatives, they will come around once the show is on.

I realize I am a newcomer but I do see an awful lot of ‘my way or the highway’ sentiment on here. If you stray from MY views you are a ‘traitor’ a DU plant or something like that.

You are correct and it has gotten very bad in the last couple of years.

Addittionally it is equally popular to charactarize anyone with whom there is disagreement as a nut or whack job. All smear, no substance. Nope, there can't be disagreement on some issues, the other person (politician) is a nut case, lunatic, pro-gay/abortion/statist/illegal alien etc etc if they aren't fanatically opposed to something and only state their position in absolutes.

You saw it with Palin when she stated support for McCain...she suddenly become (to some) pro illegal alien or pro amnesty and anti American...it's absurd!

Part of the my way or highway mentality amongst a vocal few.

I could make a similar statement about this part of the title “The Most Brilliant Tactical Move In 21st Century Politics”, especially when it hasn’t been seen nor produced. Seems to be as baseless as saying Obama has the highest IQ of any president ever.

How does producing a documentary, even if it is wildly successful, equate to a brilliant political move. If people feel they have to resort to such hyperbole to promote her they may harbor doubts about her.

The media and the Democrats will do whatever they can to destroy the reputation of whoever they think the Republican front runner is.

That is SO not true! They don't care who the frontrunner is so long as it's not Palin. Nobody feels "threatened" by Romney or the other names being thrown around. I would go far as to say many in the media are the point where they don't even care if Obama loses, so long as he doesn't lose to Sarah Palin.

I recall an instance a few weeks ago when a car crashed the gates of of an air base in Arizona. The immediate reaction was that it was a terrorist attack, even thought it was a stolen car

Not quite. The main consensus was it was indeed a couple of idiots that took a wrong turn at Albuquerque in a stolen car. A few folks were withholding judgment till more facts came out or pointed out that nobody is that much of an idiot to try and escape in a stolen car by driving onto a military installation unless they are carrying out a terrorist attack.

It is not a reality show...it is a documentary about Alaska...sort of like Wild America or Discovery Earth...

<><><><><><

Given that only extremely preliminary discussions have yet occurred, we have not the slightest idea of what the final product will look like, or if it will even come to fruition.

A) She supported McCain

Sometimes loyalty trumps ideology.

B) She tried to be a comedienne on Jay Leno

Somebody needs to grow up, and worry about what matters.

C) She's doing reality TV

In the same sense that The National Geographic does "reality TV". Some people really need to get a clue.

“We believe the 45th President will be a woman, and she will take office in 2013. That woman will either be Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin.”

This article is nonsense. Hillary Clinton has said that she will not run for President.

How ironic that Hillary supporters have more common sense and political acumen than some here on FR.

Good on ya, Hillbuzz.

Yep. Even Rush echoed what many freepers have said over and over again. No matter what she did, it was a lose-lose situation.

Kinda, maybe, sorta like those "my way or the highway" types who object when Sarah Palin goes on Leno and does a TV documentary, right?

But, will a media outlet choose profits over political correctness, and go with the Palin show?

If they do it'll only be to publicly cancel it after the second or third episode and loudly declare that it flopped in the ratings.
