"Bill Gates (L), co-founder and co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and former U.S. President Bill Clinton (R) prepare to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Capitol Hill March 10, 2010 in Washington, DC. Both Gates and Clinton voiced their support for legislation that will increase funding for global health and outlined what they believe could be cost-effective ways to fight HIV/AIDS and poverty around the world."

"...Both Gates and Clinton voiced their support for legislation that will increase funding for global health..."

Easily said by two men who arguably have no need to work another day in their life. With Gates' bottomless pit of money, why doesn't he fund this singlehandedly and leave the rest of schleps alone with what little money we have left? Not to fork it over to the government to pass along to someone else.

Sick of Gates and his $#!++y computers and operating system already. Save the world on your own dime. I'm trying to save my family and preserve what little I have left.

How nice of these two millionaires to suggest spending the taxpayers money on feel good flim flam and faux science. When a wealthy man asks others to pay for his pet projects, that’s the very definition of evil.

As an aside, have you seen “Temple Grandin” on HBO yet? Speaking as the grandmom of an extremely high functioner, my God...Claire Danes NAILED it. She’s my new fave actress...phenomenal performance!

I did see it. Amazing. There was a C-SPAN three hour interview of Grandin a couple of months ago. It was fascinating. If you didn’t see it, try to find it on their web site.

I think I did see it...was it the "Book Review" thingy, or something like that? I've been following her for quite a few years, and she's truly one of my heroes. Her words of wisdom - "Do not expect people with autism to be able to multi-task" - have served me very well with my grandson.

When I'm not so buried with work, I do plan to settle down with "Thinking In Pictures," which I'm sure I'll enjoy. (BTW, the way they handled those flashing picture shots of everything in the movie - I especially loved "It's a Miracle!" - was so right on.)

"Different...but not LESS."

Since it was HBO, I was expecting, but they actually delivered a brilliant movie. Not sentimental or cloying. Danes is sure to get an Emmy.
