I wonder if the younger one is taking care of the older one?

It's probably better than constantly bumping into each otter other.

That was very cute.
I’ve watched these guys clown around in the wild.
We have many, many of those guys in the waters near me.

That’s some pretty powerful cuteness there. Should save it for palette-cleanser for those times when I see something that cannot be unseen.
Sea otters are pretty darn cute. Of course... as long as they’re “over there”... and not tossed into your sleeping bag. Then I suppose they’d lose their cuteness real fast. :-)
I was on a ship... barely moving ahead at a couple of knots somewhere in the inland passage. Leaning on the bridge rail with my coffee cup... and I looked down to see this otter floating there, right next to the ship. He had a nice little lunch of crab legs and clams on his belly which he was munching happily when he looks up to see this ship slowly moving right close aboard. He looks up, like to say “woah. big boat” and just sort of looks the thing up and down. Keeps on snacking. From my bridge wing I waved at the little fella and said “Good morning”... I swear, on a stack on bibles and the most recent copy of guns and ammo: the little guy waved back.
Made me smile. :-)

The dark otter was overheard whispering to the other: “Damn, whats it take to get fed around here anyway?”
