The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with a Houston jury that said J. Howard Marshall was mentally fit and under no undue pressure when he wrote a will leaving nearly all of his $1.6 billion estate to his son E. Pierce Marshall and nothing to Smith.
The decision — if it holds up — is bad news for Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead and their 3-year-old daughter Dannielynn. The child was named Smith's heir in 2008 after she died of a drug overdose at 39 at a Florida hotel.

Birkhead and attorney Howard K. Stern were placed in charge of Smith's estate. Neither returned calls seeking comment.

Well, well, well. Old Howard will now tell Birkhead “You can have her”. And Birkhead will say “Hell, no! You promised to help!”
I’m convinced that’s the only reason either of those two wanted that kid.

Howard K. Stern and the two doctors who treated Anna Nicole Smith have a date with a jury on August 4.
Stern, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich face a total of 23 felonies — including illegally funneling sedatives and opiates to Smith.
Smith died of an accidental overdose in February of 2007.

Wow. I wonder if Howard, as executor, was counting on this “income” to fund his defense? And so it seems now, unless she had other assets, that Larry and the baby are on their own, financially.

well, now we know why Birkhead took Dannilynn to the park the other day just before judgement news. A little pre-announcement publicity, eh? but poor Larry, no 300 million baby for him (thank goodness!)- let’s see how fast he contacts Virgie now to hand off DL to since there’s no money anymore.
