PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- The Boy Scouts of America call them "perversion files," internal documents used to track Scout leaders suspected of sexually abusing young boys, and they have became part of the public record in an Oregon lawsuit.
A judge who had ordered the Scouts to release them received 1,247 files into evidence near the end of the day Friday - the third day of trial that began with a lawyer saying "you will be the first jury to see them."
Attorneys Paul Mones and Kelly Clark won the release of files from 1965-85 to help them make the case in a $14 million lawsuit against the Boy Scouts filed by a 37-year-old Oregon man. He was sexually molested in the early 1980s by assistant Scoutmaster Timur Dykes, who was convicted three times between 1983 and 1994 of sexually abusing boys, most of them Scouts.

A good organization under attack by the enemy.
Well if they keep perverts away - they get sued.
If perverts molest children - they get sued.
This guy needs a few Boy Scout or Navy knots in a rope thrown over a tree branch.
And so leftsts want MORE homosexuals in the Boy Scouts???

Why the hell aren’t there ‘perversion files’ for public schools? As a percentage there are at least as many molesters there as in the BSA or the Catholic church.
A "good" organization would have alerted the authorities and allow the claims of abuse to be investigated. It's unclear but as far as I can tell they kept tabs on suspected abusers instead of revealing them to the police.
These files are decades old. In those days this stuff was always hidden and handled internally.

They are a good organization made up of good people. Like anyone else they are not perfect but thats hardly the organizations fault.
They get sued no matter what. They are forced by the courts to allow openly gay men to be scout leaders.

There are some outright lies in this explanation. It says that the BSA doesn’t have a policy for this. They do - and have had since around 1985.

It would more correct to say that BSA didn’t have a policy THEN. We do NOW! This is one of my worst fears as a scout master! It is something I’m VERY concerned about. My troop follows the Youth Protection requirements “religiously!”
I am hoping you got that backwards. It's the organization that has been hiding the files.
I DO agree it's made up of some wonderful people at the local levels.
It is virtually impossible to stop same-sex perversion in the Scouts. We have rules in place but pervs can get around the rules.
The Scout files are probably inadmissible because they are not based on data that has been vetted by the courts. That’s why they didn’t release it. A kid making a claim against a Scoutmaster isn’t something you can just broadcast to the world.
How is this relevant unless there is a file on the perp (indicating a cover-up)?
If they cashiered Chester Moe Lester back in 1964, what the heck does that file have to do with this case?

YUCK!! That’s worse than the perp in the story. Need eye bleach, now.
Notice we see no data organized and reported on the Teachers Union members child abuse. It is huge!
