McNally hit a grand slam in the 1970 World Series, when the Orioles pwned the Reds.
Cheers!

And only Palmer is still living. *THUD* ping to the Ladies of FR, to make up for all the bikini goddess pics.

Salamander -- don't know if you're into sports or Palmer, but at least you're from Maryland...
Cheers!

Growing up in Detroit in the 60’s, seems every time I went to the corner of Michigan Ave and Trumbull, the Orioles were in town. I marvel at all of the Hall of Famers I used to watch. Always loved Earl weaver too.

Where has the time gone?
That's what i want to know- where does the time go??
RIP Mr. Cuellar, that was a formidable pitching staff (although I was a Seaver, Koosman, Ryan, Tug McGraw fan.)

Visited? I practically grew up in Memorial Stadium. So even though it wasn’t a showpiece stadium, it held many, many childhood memories for me. I was a Junior Oriole for many years. Back when you could get 10 bleacher tickets in the Junior Oriole pack for about $2.50 or something ridiculous.

If you subscribe to the MLB.TV you have access to their library of greatest games. They have the entire World Series of 1970 (plus ‘69 and ‘71) on audio and they have game 5 of the ‘70 world series on video.
