"I want a child to carry my name, someone that can carry my legacy and be able to say 'Well that's my daddy'," he said.

Or just someone who can start carrying HIM around...

Kenny, don't say "legacy."

depends on what was amputated...had amputee patients in hospital. Male parts intact, legs gone, one was amputee up to the hip...

The functioning “male part” that enables copulation is attached to the pubic bone. If that’s gone, so is sexual functioning. As far as fathering children with medical assistance, I suppose one intact testicle and a functioning prostate would suffice, and it would be possible to extract sperm from that one testicle in the absence of a prostate, painful as that prospect might be to us males. They’ve done it with the very recently deceased.

There are classes in sexual intercourse even for those with indwelling catheters...don't know how it all works but when I was nursing on the Rehab unit, found out there are lots of ways men and women can have relations in what seems impossible cases..if the cath is in the woman, its just a matter of moving the tube position, don't know how it works for men, but I guess there are ways if there is will.

I never attended any classes, but had patients that did..

Well I saw the post from which you quote and my reaction was quite the same.

In fact, I’ll go one further and wonder why the hell this story is even any kind of big deal.

First, the fact that he’s a double amputee means nothing and I’ll spare the original poster who said those words you quoted the bother of finding his or her name. Perhaps that poster is like a little child and doesn’t know how babies get to be here. The short story of which is that legs have pretty much nothing to do with it except perhaps making conception easier and more conventional.

But if the fellow has testicles, and a “delivery system” of sorts, why is there any problem? Why is it necessary for this couple to get a DNA test for God’s sake except if it’s for the same reasons DNA tests are demanded quite often...ie that the woman was unfaithful to the fellow.

There’s either more to this story....like maybe his private parts don’t work like they should, or as I softly suggest, his lady friend has caused him to doubt the child’s paternity.

There once was a lady who was tired of living with men who were either physically abusive, who ran away from her, or who were horrible in bed.

So she put an Ad in the paper, that was asking for a man who: 1)would treat her nicely 2)wouldn’t run away from her, 3)would be good in bed.

Three weeks passed, and there was no reply from any man. So she just figured that there wasn’t a man alive who could live up to these expectations, and she just gave up.

But then, one day she heard the doorbell rang. She answered it, and there on the front porch was a man in a wheel chair who didn’t have any arms or legs!

The man said ‘I’m here about the ad you put in the paper. As you can see, I have no arms so I can’t beat you, and I have no legs so I can’t run away from you.’ The woman replied, ‘Yes, but are you good in bed?
.
.
.
.
The man said with a smirk on his face, ‘How do you think I rang the doorbell?’

Speaking in The Learning Channel (TLC) documentary, Nicky, 33, said they enjoyed a normal sex life.

"People want to know if Kenny has his private parts."

"We have sex just like any other couple. Kenny has his parts like any other man."

"How could a double leg amputee father a child? That's a one in a billion chance!"

One would first need to find a woman smitten, twisted and/or drunk enough to allow events to proceed.

One in a billion? Maybe not. Considering the marriage proposals routinely received by mass murderers on Death Row, it seems we have no shortage of women with very strange tastes.

Nothing new.

Prince Randian (pictured on the left) had four children and the family eventually settled in Paterson, New Jersey...

I think Johnny Eck (on the right) apparently never married and lived with his brother until the end.
