Famed Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani’s young, urban upscale label Emporio Armani shines brightly with their S/S 2010 collection of bright, big and blingy jewelry and chunky accessories for women. You are making a bold, glittery and identifiable statement my friend, if you’re wearing an expensive Emporio Armani.

What logo is on the side of your running shoes? A swoosh, three stripes, or a big “N”, perhaps?

Exactly. I remember when “designer” labels and symbols started appearing visibly on clothing in the late 1970s. It’s been a very successful marketing tool, but the detriment to good taste and good character has been substantial. It’s really hard to teach kids that being a human billboard for some designer does not make them better looking, it just puts them in the same league with the other materialistic, insecure, suckers.

Tee hee!

I’m a farmer...my “running shoes” are rubber boots! No logo on the side, just a bunch of stuff you don’t want to think about...

Can FLOTUS afford any with that $600 stimulus check she railed about during the campaign?

I might respect environmentalists a little more if they went after this kind of ostentatious consumption.

This ring, among all the items shown, would be fairly pretty if it didn’t have the logo on it. The little symbol reminds me of my dad’s uniform eagles ;-).

I remember when people recognized high-end design because of the way it looked: you could tell a Chanel suit or a Versace gown. I guess designer items now can’t be identified without the seller’s name and logo all over it.

Never leave your shoes running...It's bad for the sole.
