My Svea is at the other house but there was no “self-pressurizing” - you had to twist a knob and pump manually and then lock down the plunger ... still they’re great backpacking stoves ... Oops! I guess they are self-pressurizing if you include yourself ... ;-)

A classic. I had one of those 30 years ago and I think it was an old design then.

Was just thinking the same thing, nice photo. Still arguably the best hiking /mountaineering stove. A little noisy. The only ones I use are the older style w/ out the cleaning needle inside the nozzle. The machined tolerances on the flame adjustment are much tighter, finer threads or something, so it can be throttled back real good. In the photo the key is angled downward, that’s the earlier, pre 70s version or whenever SVEA made the change.
