Cheerleaders punished for urine prank

FORT WORTH,- Officials with a Texas school district said a group of high school cheerleaders was disciplined for giving urine-tainted drinks to teammates.

Administrators said at least two girls at Fort Worth's Saginaw High School received in-school suspensions and an unspecified number of their fellow cheerleaders received lesser punishments for serving sodas contaminated with a cheerleader's urine to their teammates during a basketball game late last year, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday.

District officials said Principal Ric Canterbury began an investigation after hearing rumors about the incident. They said the girls involved in the prank will be barred from cheerleading events for the remainder of the school year but will be eligible to rejoin the team during the next school year.

The father of one of the girls who drank the contaminated soda said the offending cheerleaders should be permanently removed from the team.

"They shouldn't be allowed to represent Saginaw," said the parent, who asked not to be named to protect his daughter's anonymity.

If boys had done that, they’d probably be facing criminal charges now.

I'd permanently bar these cheerleaders(and anyone else tainting food or drink) from all school-associated extra-curricular activities for the rest of their time in high school;and charge them with whatever the legal term is that applies to intentional poisoning.They deserve at least a misdemeanor conviction on their records.

And for any adult who spiked the punch anywhere as per that sick comedy movie mentioned,I'd say a great big can of whup-ass should be applied by all the other party attendees .Some people just need to learn there are boundaries that are not to be crossed.

You’re so right about the search. On the earlier post on this subject, I remembered that there was a post in recent weeks of someone else tainting a drink with urine. I searched for it and it never showed up. I and sure I read it on FR, heck, I never go anywhere else.
