An interesting line in the 1980’s miniseries “Amerika,” (treatment by Ben Stein), the communist leader says that they took control by first controlling the communication and secondly controlling the ‘perks.’ Rush Limbaugh, which lead to massive talk radio, and the internet were what prevented the reality of this fictional show — so far.
Very scary.
