There was a
thread about that when he had his "incident."
And indeed, IMDB says Mel's bipolar and wikipedia quotes him in 2002 saying that he was manic-depressive.
Some of the characters he's played were pretty crazy, too.
Divorcing his wife for hundreds of thousands of dollars in alimony and hooking up with Oksana for a few months does sound like a bipolar thing, though stretched out over months rather than in a weekend or so.

Interesting photo. I noticed that if I stare at it long enough, a piano begins to appear.

Wow that must have been fun. From what I can see I think his soon to be ex wife deserves a medal for all of the crap that she probably put up with for so many years.
He probably should get some help.

It’s classic. The anger outbursts, the instant bad decisions based on mood, the substance abuse, the incredible giftedness.
The sad thing is the kids. It’s like being on an out of control roller coaster. My kids loved their dad, but mom has to be strong to compensate for the ride.

Thank God you are on the thread to point out the really important things to these (cough) short-sighted male posters.

On top of that, a few days ago I watched as much of "We Were Soldiers" as I could - and it wasn't much.....horrid, amateurish movie.
Apologies to stellar FReeper Aloha Ronnie, but that movie really, really sucked.

This lady always found him handsome until the day I learned he was not so handsome inside. Now, he does nothing for me, even when I look at a picture of him as William Wallace.

Um, he’s still married to his wife. IMO, he should repent and go back to his wife should she take him back.
