Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will endorse Marco Rubio over Gov. Charlie Crist in Florida's Republican Senate primary.
Romney plans to announce the endorsement Saturday, according to a Romney adviser who asked to remain anonymous because the official announcement has not been made.
Romney is the third major 2008 presidential candidate to endorse Rubio. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee have also endorsed the former House speaker.
The adviser said Crist and Rubio both sought the endorsement, but Romney believes Rubio has a stronger conservative record and is an idea-driven leader.
Romney's PAC is contributing $5,000 to Rubio's campaign and the former governor plans to campaign with Rubio on Monday.

I just want crist out of this state
yesterday he sided with the teachers union and vetoed a bill which would get rid of tenure, and would make the teachers more accountable by their grades
many teachers now are telling parents the bill was bad when infact it was not.
Plus after trolling many sites and local rags then a lot on the left are changing to republican in order to get crist elected in our republican primary
we have to defeat crist o, his union pals once and for all

If Rubio is smart, he will politely thank Willard and then stay the hell away from him. Willard is looking to store up some chits for 2012, but in my opinion, an endorsement from Willard is just as good as an endorsement from McAmnesty.
Crist is toast. I hope he figures it out and steps down with class. But I bet he runs as Independent.

Romney needs to understand that any support he received was because he was our only hope of stopping McCain in the end. His jumping on the bandwagon is as transparent as McCain’s “move to the right”.

I almost feel bad for Crist. Even the RINOs are abandoning poor Charlie.
Maybe Crist will run in the Crat primary I would not be surprised. He could probably win it.
