FWIW, we had a boxer with a docked tail and cropped ears and an English bulldog with natural rose ears. The bulldog had constant problems with ear infections, the boxer rarely had any problems. The floppy ears keep the ear canal moist and warm which makes it a haven for bacteria. If I had a dog whose standard was to crop ears, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Part of your problem is its a bulldog. Bulldogs have all kinds of problems no matter what you do.
