Vegas went Country or Country went Vegas as the 45th Annual ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards were held Sunday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Hosted by the affable Reba McEntire, our fave Taylor Swift, who performed an eye-catching performance of Change was surprisingly shut out of the awards with Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood dominating the proceedings. It was truly a Country night for the Ladies.
We liked the 2010 ACM Awards Red Carpet as Country went glamorous, chic and stylish as well as Vegas. The stars of Country Music and the many-fold Celebs were dressed to please, gowns a blazing, styled up nicely, a good impression they made. We were especially pleased with Taylor Swift and Kristen Bell’s outfits, two stars who always seem to know how to spectacularize it up for the right occasion.

I can only partially agree with you. Yes, Kidman is getting too old for this. No, she does not carry it off. She might have done if the short dress she wore had been very simple and elegant, but this costumey stuff should be the province of the young girls in their twenties. I'm afraid beautiful Nicole looks a little silly.

Those country gals back in the 40’s and 50’s lilke Kitty Wells might not have been all that glamorous, but they could sing rings around these chicks.
That ain’t country, frankly I think today anything that isn’t Hip-Hop or Gangsta Rap, they consider it “Country.”
Barbara Mandrell and Dolly Parton were both gorgeous in their day. But I think the prettiest ever is Lorrie Morgan. Funny, though, when I was DJing, all the MEN loved Connie Smith, over and above the more glamorous or sexy gals.
