Greenies must be frantic

Posted on 04/19/2010 11:31:00 AM PDT by klb99

The Icelandic volcano has probably thrown more "pollution" and "green house gases" into the environment in the last week than in all recorded human history and there's not a thing the environazis can do about it...can't take our cars, airplanes, fireplaces or plastic bags. They must be ready to commit seppeku.

My fear is that there will be a measurable greenhouse effect from this erruption in the next few years, but nobody will remember the volcano, and the lie will experience a rebirth.

I heard the only way to stop the volcano is for the enviroweenies to appease the volcano Gods by throwing themselves into the cauldron. After a few hundren of them that should appease the Gods and make it stop.*sarcasm*

Remember what happened after Mt. Pinatubo erupted? We are in for at least a year of global COOLING.

Now that should REALLY get the warmers’ panties bunched.

The hockeystick graph predicted this. Well not really but in a fake but accurate “we were taking this into account” way.

“Not only that, but the atmospheric ash will probably cause global temperatures to decrease.
A win-win! “

Exactly!

Not close to exceeding recorded history amounts. Very small amount of ash, CO2 so far.

Right, we need a Yellowstone and a Vesuvius with a side of Krakatoa. I'll call Karl Rove and see if he can fire up the old Volcano Machine.

Charts like that are like trying to guess the outcome of the World Series based on the standings five games into the season.

The volcano is still erupting. How can anybody state it’s impact?

No, they will embrace THIS pollution as it is “nature.” It’s only when evil, greedy humans produce a waste product do they pitch a fit.

Deep down for them, (much as it is with groups like PETA) it’s about bullying. The cause is the means to the end to justify bullying others. By giving it an altruistic excuse, they can do anything without feeling guilty or thinking they should have a consequence for it.

This has been a “small” eruption. The lack of scientific understanding of volcanic events is dramatic. There are theories, for which you can get no funding to investigate, that tie solar activity to geologic activity and climate fluctuations.

oh! oh! pick me!

They’ll examine the effects of the eruption,
ignore that the cause was natural,
and blame those effects on the actions of humans.

Popocatapetl and many more, see map Mexican Volcanoes

A farmer was plowing his field west of Mexico City in the 1940s when he noticed smoke spewing from a fissure in the earth. He ran for his life and witnessed the birth of a new volcano, Paracutin. It erupted for 8 years straight and did enormous damage, burying an entire village in the process.

Mexico, like the U.S. and all countries around the Ring of Fire, is host to many active volcanoes. One is located not far from the Mexicali earthquake of several weeks ago.

You do know that the volcano in Iceland is spewing 750 tons of ash per second, right?

“Greenies must be frantic”

No you don’t understand greenies. That’s nature’s doing so that’s fine - in fact they’re in awe. It’s when man (or cows) farts that’s a calamity and the world is threatened, because you see man is not part of nature..
